Performing and arranging piano music is a second career for pianist, Dan Weigel. Beginning piano study at age 7 and trumpet lessons at age 12, Dan performed in various local talent competitions, recitals and concerts. In 1962-63, he received instructional music time with world-famous solo trumpet virtuoso, Raphael Mendez. After completing his education, he worked in human resources management, playing piano for his own enjoyment.

Music has always been a source of emotional release and peace for Dan, whose piano inspiration comes from the great pops pianist, Roger Williams, and world-renowned classical pianist, Van Cliburn. Currently Dan is an advanced piano student with Milwaukee's famous jazz and pops pianist, Carl Mussmann.

Dan Weigel's gift as a ballad pianist is in his piano music style and interpretation. Dan provides a depth and singing quality to his music that is meant to soothe as well as excite the emotions. Dan enjoys the fullness of musical sound he can produce on the Steinway piano.

Dan plays music of the late 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's. He plays show tunes, pop ballads and Christian music. Dan plays for receptions of all kinds, weddings and funerals, as well as at retail establishment and for churches.
